about chiara carlucci

Welcome to my blog! I’m Chiara, and I’m currently on a journey of creative recovery. What does that mean?

In the hustle and bustle of modern life, it’s easy to neglect certain parts of ourselves, leading to a loss of balance and happiness. For me, that neglected part was crafting and art.

For the past 8 years, I’ve been immersed in marketing and business, which, while not something I hate, only represents one aspect of who I am.

As a top down thinker, I need a deeper meaning to what I do, which I wasn’t finding in business alone. This led me to a point where I felt I had lost myself.

I remember often heard my mom’s voice saying, “I think you should be doing something with your hands,” and though I’d brush it off, she understood more than I realized…

Coming from a family that struggled financially, I was obsessed with securing my financial future when I started my career. While this taught me valuable lessons about money, it also left me feeling angry, anxious, and lost.

I lacked a deeper sense of purpose. Money and career weren’t fulfilling my need for meaningful objectives.

After reading the first pages of The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron, gifted me by a good friend, I decided to embark on a creative journey to rediscover myself. This blog shares my journey of finding balance through creativity.

A note on aum balance

For those wondering about the name aum balance, it holds a precise meaning. “aum,” from ancient Indian scriptures, symbolizes the sound of the universe, representing the essence of creation and creativity itself. Meanwhile, the word “balance” embodies my life quest. I believe that the combination of creativity and balance is what leads to a happy life.
